Drew's Tasting Note

Very expressive, effervescent and inviting. Zesty citrus and ripe orchard fruits, toasted almonds with a touch of salinity. A lovely fine mousse and a lingering finish. ‘Corallian’ is named after the coral-rich limestone of the chalky soils where the Chardonnay vines grow in Dorset.

The Winery

Justin Langham planted the first vines at Crawthorne Farm in Dorset in 2009, inspired by his father John's hobby vineyard at the family's nearby manor house. The estate now spans 34 hectares of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier on the chalk soils of rural Dorset, the same geology as Champagne's Côte des Blancs. Independent and family-run, with winemaker Tommy Grimshaw leading a small team, Langham draws inspiration from the Grower Champagne movement and takes a distinctly low-intervention, oxidative approach to traditional-method sparkling wines. The estate has won the IWSC Sparkling Wine Producer Trophy twice, most recently in 2025, and was named Best Producer and Supreme Champion at the 2025 WineGB Awards.
