Drew's Tasting Note

Cabernet Franc is reborn in Argentina, very different from anywhere else you may find it in the world. This expression offers deep, concentrated black and red fruits on the nose that are interspersed with wild herbs and spice. On the palate, these flavours translate into juicy fruit with tobacco leaf and cracked black pepper. Great length of flavour and mouthfeel.

The Winery

Many years ago, Mauricio Lorca was once a prospective medical student, but when he discovered oenology, there was no turning back. Mauricio’s winemaking career has soared over the years that followed, working in many wineries throughout Argentina. His proven dedication and talent have meant that he now advises the top wineries in Argentina. In 2002, Mauricio established his winery near Mendoza. Mauricio pours his heart and soul into winemaking. A score of 96 points from wine critic Robert Parker brought Mauricio’s talent international acclaim. Drew has known Mauricio Lorca for 20 years and has always admired his winemaking.
