The Winery
Organic farming is fundamental to every aspect of Peregrine Wines, with a holistic approach that integrates vineyard with livestock farming. Peregrine Wines was established in 1998 in Central Ortego, New Zealand. In 2010, Nadine Cross brought her winemaking experience from France, California and Marlborough to the unique climate of Central Otago. The vines grow across three distinctly different areas of Central Otago: Bendigo, Pisa, and Gibbston. Each area’s microclimate and terroirs uniquely affect the grapes growing there. This care and attention to the balance of flavours is continued throughout the winemaking process.
The Mohua, also known as the Yellowhead, is a small, colourful bird found only in the pristine and majestic forests of New Zealand’s South Island. Once abundant, they are now endangered, surviving in remote areas. Your support and enjoyment of this wine allows Peregrine Wines to fund conservation projects that will directly enhance their chances of survival.
