The Winery

Forty miles along the coast from Cape Town in South Africa, the Elgin Valley is a high inland plateau encircled by mountains. Here is where a partnership of six dedicated grape growers became Elgin Vintners, built on the Elgin Orchards farm, which dates back to 1890. Elgin Valley is a cool climate region where the high altitude and cool terroir allow the grapes to ripen on the vines for longer.
