Drew's Tasting Note

Spicy blackberry and plum aromas leap from the glass. Initial black fruits, plum and cherry flavours on the palate combine with notes of liquorice, vanilla and dark chocolate with a hint of tobacco. Fabulous.

The Winery

In 1973, Bodegas Beronia was founded by a group of fine-dining friends who wanted to produce wines to pair with their favourite foods. New wineries were built in 2017 and 2018 in Rueda and La Rioja Alta, respectively. Both wineries are sustainable architectural wonders, marrying tradition and innovation, preserving the balance of nature whilst specially designed for the production and ageing of their wines, and extremely gentle handling of the grapes.
