The Winery

Château Briatte is a small family estate in Sauternes, located just west of Preignac and surrounded by some of the appellation's most celebrated names. The Roudes family have managed it for three generations, with Michel and his wife Françoise at the helm since 1986. The 18 hectares are planted predominantly with Sémillon, alongside Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle. Yields here are among the lowest in Bordeaux, which explains why wines of this quality are consistently good value.
