Drew's Tasting Note

A tropical fruit salad of flavours on the nose. Refreshing citrus fruits with a backbone of pear and peach flavours combined with a minerally honeyed finish. A deliciously soft, easy-drinking white wine. Great with pasta, shellfish, tapas or charcuterie.

The Winery

Cantine Ascheri was founded in 1880 in Bra, in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, and is now in its seventh generation of family ownership. Matteo Ascheri leads the estate alongside his wife, Cristina, who is very much the beating heart of the operation. In the cellar, technology is kept to a minimum, oak is used sparingly, and additives are avoided wherever possible. The aim is to create wines that clearly express the vineyard, the variety, and the winemakers' own vision. Giuliano Bedino, the family's winemaker for over 25 years, is as much a part of the domaine as the Ascheri family themselves.
