Drew's Tasting Note

Fresh green apple, peach, pineapple, and mango aromas follow through on the palate and blend with honeyed almonds and a crisp mineral finish that lasts long in the mouth. There is also a light buttery flavour underpinning everything. A nice balance with a good, enjoyable length.

The Winery

Jean-Marc Brocard is a leading producer of Chablis, using a minimal intervention style of winemaking in the vineyard and the winery. Practically organic throughout its production. No pesticides or fertiliser; relying on predators and manure instead. The resulting wines are a pure expression of the chalky and alluvial soils of Chablis. Downstream of the Serein, the river that runs through the Chablis vineyards, the Fourchaume terroir has richer soil than the rest of the vineyard because of the alluvial soils washed by the river. This makes for more flattering, pleasant and supple wines that still carry the mineral quality of the Chablis.
