Drew's Tasting Note

Ripe plum, black cherry and dark chocolate on the nose, with a hint of lavender. Silky smooth black fruits with cracked black pepper and velvety leather oak flavours on a long finish. This wine would go well with a lamb, game, or a roasted cauliflower main dish.

The Winery

Pulenta Estate was founded in 2002 by brothers Hugo and Eduardo Pulenta, whose family has been linked to Argentine viticulture for four generations, dating back to their great-grandparents, Angelo and Palmina, who arrived from Italy in 1902. The estate draws on two Mendoza vineyards, Viñedos Don Antonio in Los Arboles in the Uco Valley and Finca La Zulema in Agrelo, each planted on complex alluvial soils at contrasting altitudes. It is the interplay between these two distinct sites that gives Pulenta wines their character.
