The Winery

Adrien Defaix is the nephew of Didier Defaix of Domaine Bernard Defaix in Milly. The wines are made at the same domaine, from the same vineyards, in the same way; the Adrien label is a separate arrangement rather than a separate operation. The Côte de Léchet Premier Cru comes from eight hectares of Kimmeridgian limestone and marl, fermented with natural yeasts and aged in a mix of stainless steel, used oak barrels, and demi-muids on its fine lees.
