The Winery

The Allegrini family has been cultivating vines in Fumane, in the Valpolicella Classica, since the 16th century. From the 1960s, Giovanni Allegrini transformed the estate, selecting grapes with greater care and precision, embracing viticultural and winemaking innovations, and earning recognition as one of the architects of Valpolicella's emergence as a serious wine region. Giovanni’s children, Franco, Walter and Marilisa, carried the estate forward, and since 2022 it has been led by Franco's sons, Francesco, Giovanni and Matteo, alongside Walter's daughter, Silvia. The 150-hectare estate in the Valpolicella Classica produces wines centred on Corvina (the great native variety of the region), including the benchmark Amarone and La Poja, a single-vineyard Corvina first planted in 1979.
