The Winery
In the heart of Chianti Classico resides the Tenuta Tignanello estate, purchased by the Antinori family in 1900. The vineyards are planted on calcareous rocky soils rich with marl limestone and schist, where the vines enjoy hot temperatures during the day and cooler evenings throughout the growing season. In 1974, Italian graphic and interior designer Silvio Coppola designed the Tignanello label for the 1971 vintage, which is still used today.
