Drew's Tasting Note

Aromas of fresh blackcurrants, plum, and a touch of spice lead into a silky-smooth palate of raspberries and red cherries. The ripe fruit character carries through to a long, harmonious finish.

The Winery

Few wineries can claim a founder quite like Francis Ford Coppola. The Oscar-winning director's passion for wine stretches back long before his filmmaking fame. In 1975, he and his wife Eleanor purchased part of the celebrated Inglenook Estate in Napa Valley and produced their first vintage of Rubicon by 1978. In 2006, he expanded his vision further with the purchase of a historic French château estate in Geyserville, Sonoma County. At the helm of winemaking is Andrea Card, a Sonoma native with deep generational ties to the region, who brings a considered approach to sustainability and organic viticulture to a portfolio of wines drawn from across California's finest growing regions. With a restaurant, movie museum, and vineyard to explore alongside the wines themselves, the Francis Ford Coppola Winery is one of California's most complete and characterful destinations.
