The Winery

Rob Mann is the sixth generation of his family to make wine, following his grandfather, Jack, who worked 51 consecutive vintages at Houghton and is regarded as one of the great figures in 20th-century Australian winemaking. Rob went on to lead winemaking at Cape Mentelle and Newton Vineyard in Napa before returning home. His wife, Genevieve, who made wine in South Africa, France, California, and at Howard Park in Margaret River, is an equally accomplished winemaker. Together, they launched Corymbia in 2013, producing single-vineyard wines from the Swan Valley and Margaret River. The name comes from the Marri tree, Corymbia calophylla, a native red gum tree whose white blossoms appear each year at harvest time.
