The Winery

Maison Joseph Drouhin was founded in Beaune in 1880, and for over a century, the family built a reputation as one of Burgundy’s most respected producers. In 1987, Robert Drouhin established Domaine Drouhin Oregon in the Dundee Hills of the Willamette Valley (a region whose climate and latitude reminded him of Burgundy), and in 2013, the Roserock estate in the Eola-Amity Hills joined the family portfolio, bringing cooler temperatures and volcanic soils. Both estates produce Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Véronique Drouhin, Robert’s daughter, has made every wine at Domaine Drouhin Oregon since its first vintage and is known in Burgundy as the “Guardian of the Drouhin Palate.” In 2019, she was awarded the Légion d’Honneur in recognition of her contribution to French winemaking. Her brother Philippe oversees viticulture across both Oregon and Burgundy.
