The Winery

Domaine Drouhin has come a long way since it was first established by Joseph Drouhin in 1880. A little over a hundred years later, Joseph’s grandson, Robert, purchased the Dundee Hills vineyard in Oregon. In 2013, the Roserock Estate in the Eola-Amity Hills also came under the Drouhin family name. The climate and latitude of the Dundee Hills vineyard are notably similar to Burgundy, whereas the Roserock estate sits on volcanic soils and has a cooler climate. Both sites produce Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Véronique and Philippe Drouhin, Robert’s children, oversee the winemaking and viticulture. Joseph Drouhin’s original style is still very much present in the wines produced from the Oregon estates.
