Soft tobacco and black fruit aromas. Smooth and rich blackcurrant and red cherry flavours, interlaced with notes of leather, cinnamon spice and cracked black pepper. Luscious length of flavours in the mouth.

The Winery

Finca Valpiedra is on a spectacular meander of the Ebro River and is the only Rioja among the Grandes Pagos de España (Great Estates of Spain). This is because It is unusual for single-vineyard wines to be made in this region. Still, because the vineyard site had continually proven its wines to be outstanding, in 1994, the Martínez Bujanda family built a winery at its centre and kept the best grapes exclusively for these special bottlings.
