The Winery

Finca Valpiedra sits on one of the Ebro River's most spectacular meanders in Rioja, where 80 hectares of vineyards are laid out across three river terraces and divided into 14 individual plots. The estate's pebbly, limestone-rich soils give it its name, Valpiedra, meaning 'valley of stones', and produce wines with a mineral, structured character that sets them apart from most wines in the region. The Martínez Bujanda family built a winery at the heart of the estate in 1994. When it opened in 1999, Finca Valpiedra became one of the founding members of the Grandes Pagos de España, the country's most exclusive association of single-estate wines.
