The Winery

The Frescobaldi family has been making wine in Tuscany since the 14th century, making them one of Italy's oldest wine dynasties. Their influence on the modern Tuscan wine industry has been considerable; the family introduced then-unknown varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot to the region as early as 1855. Today, the family's vineyard holdings span nearly 1,000 hectares across nine estates in Tuscany, each with its own distinct terroir and character, producing wines that, between them, express an exceptional breadth of what the region is capable of.
