Drew's Tasting Note

A mixture of blackcurrant, plum and vanilla toast on the nose. Complex black fruits, cracked black pepper, and mint chocolate flavours fill the mouth, finishing with a refined mineral note blended with soft tannins and rich blackberry pie. This would be a great companion if you enjoy a cheese board or delight in turkey or game dishes.

The Winery

The magnificent Haras de Pirque estate occupies a privileged position at the foot of the Andes in Chile’s Maipo Valley region. Italy’s Antinori family owns Haras de Pirque; their chief winemaker, Renzo Cotarella, brings his elegant sensibility to bear while respecting the character of this very particular terroir. The grapes come entirely from the estate vineyards surrounding the winery, and the parcels are individually hand-harvested from the lowest-yielding parts of the vineyard.
