Drew's Tasting Note

Layered aromas of blackberries, raspberries and plum, with hints of spice, mocha, dark chocolate, cracked black pepper, and floral notes. All this leads to a bright, juicy palate with soft, friendly tannins and a luscious, smooth finish. Perfectly drinkable now, with cellaring potential.

The Winery

At Henschke, winemaking has remained in family hands since 1868, with fifth-generation winemaker Stephen Henschke and his viticulturist wife, Prue Henschke, leading the estate since 1979. Together, they have elevated their winery to global acclaim, particularly through their flagship single-vineyard wines, Hill of Grace and Mount Edelstone. Farming biodynamically across vineyards in Eden Valley and the Adelaide Hills, Prue’s decades-long commitment to soil health and biodiversity has been transformative, earning her induction into the James Halliday Hall of Fame in 2024, while Stephen received the Winemakers’ Winemaker Award in 2025.
