Inviting aromas of juicy strawberries, raspberries and red cherries with hints of vanilla and spices. Very smooth on the palate with an additional minerality. Complex and delightful.

The Winery

Jean-Paul Balland comes from a long line of winegrowers dating back to the 17th century. Together with his wife, Magali, they developed their family estate for over forty years, handing over the management to their two daughters in 2001. Isabelle is now the winemaker, and Elise handles marketing, whilst Jean-Paul mentors Isabelle’s husband, Julien, in taking care of the vineyard. Today, the estate covers 24 hectares. The wines of Bué in the Loire Valley are full and rich in style, and the Balland wines are a classic example from the village.
