The Winery

John Duval spent 30 years at Penfolds, where he was mentored by the legendary winemakers Max Schubert and Don Ditter, before founding his own label in 2003. His family has grown grapes in South Australia for five generations, though John was the first to make wine from them. That heritage runs through everything he does, as he seeks out the Barossa's finest old vines and crafts wines defined by balance and structure. John's eldest son, Tim, joined the business in 2016, bringing the same deep roots in the region that now shape a second generation of John Duval Wines.
