The Winery

There is a fast-growing family of women winemakers in South America, and Estella Perinetti was one of the first. Estella is one of Mendoza’s leading wine consultants. Her winemaking heritage began in the early 1940s when her grandfather, Dr. Hector Perinetti, planted Sémillon vines in El Paral, Tupungato. The vineyard was named Finca Mangato. By the 1990s, these vines had become non-viable, so Estella and her mother, winemaker Estela Armando, removed them and planted red varietals, including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. Today, these vines form the basis of Las Estelas.

Leticia means Joy in Latin and is the name of one of Estela’s daughters - the inspiration behind this winemaking project.
