Drew's Tasting Note

A nose of white peach preserved lemons and hints of elderflower. The palate offers a lemon and lime citrus-based mouth-watering intensity, which ends with a strong, creamy textural finish.

The Winery

Nautilus Estate is a small, family-owned winery in Marlborough, New Zealand, producing wine since 1985. Its owner, Robert Hill Smith, is a fifth-generation vigneron, and that long-term perspective shapes how the estate operates; changes are made slowly and only when they genuinely improve the wine. Winemaker Clive Jones works with fruit from six vineyards across Marlborough's varied valleys, blending parcels to build texture and complexity, with food-friendliness a guiding principle throughout. The estate runs two dedicated facilities (one for Pinot Noir, the other for white winemaking), which give the team precise control over each style while keeping the winery's environmental footprint in check.
