Drew's Tasting Note

Amazing fresh pineapple, ripe pear and a hint of elderflower on the nose. Refreshing and rich layers of citrus, passion fruit and melon on the palate with a creamy textured finish from a portion of the blend aged in French oak. Perfect with seafood.

The Winery

Organic farming is fundamental to every aspect of Peregrine Wines, with a holistic approach that integrates vineyard with livestock farming. Peregrine Wines was established in 1998 in Central Ortego, New Zealand. In 2010, Nadine Cross brought her winemaking experience from France, California and Marlborough to the unique climate of Central Otago. The vines grow across three distinctly different areas of Central Otago: Bendigo, Pisa, and Gibbston. Each area’s microclimate and terroirs uniquely affect the grapes growing there. This care and attention to the balance of flavours is continued throughout the winemaking process. For example, ageing a small part of Pinot Gris (Pino Grigio) in barrels gives more body and richness to the flavour, making it an excellent food-pairing wine.
