Drew's Tasting Note

Amazing fresh pineapple, ripe pear and a hint of elderflower on the nose. Refreshing and rich layers of citrus, passion fruit and melon on the palate with a creamy textured finish from a portion of the blend aged in French oak. Perfect with seafood.

The Winery

Peregrine Wines was established in 1998 by the McLachlan family in Central Otago, New Zealand. Organic farming is fundamental to the estate, with vineyards and livestock managed together as part of an integrated approach to land management. Winemaker Nadine Cross joined in 2010, bringing experience from France, California and Marlborough to the distinct high-altitude conditions of Central Otago. The vines are grown across three sub-regions: Bendigo, Pisa and Gibbston, each imparting its own character to the grapes. The estate's winery, completed in 2003 and designed to echo the arc of a falcon's wing in flight, has attracted attention for its architecture as much as for its wines.
