Refreshing aromas of zesty lemon with hints of elderflower and almond. Bright and fresh citrus flavours are underpinned with a light creaminess of peach and pear. Great finish. Most excellent Soave!

The Winery

Pieropan was founded in 1880 by Dr Leonildo Pieropan, a doctor from the medieval town of Soave in the Veneto who abandoned medicine for his true passion: viticulture. His grandson, also named Leonildo and affectionately known as Nino, transformed the estate from 1966 onwards, creating Calvarino in 1971 (the first single-vineyard Soave) and La Rocca in 1978, wines that helped reshape the reputation of the entire region. A co-founder of FIVI, the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers, and the first producer in Soave to commit to organic farming, Nino left a lasting impression on Italian wine. Today, his sons Andrea and Dario guide the estate with the same dedication to quality and sustainability.
