The Winery

In 1998, the Symington family partnered with a leading Bordeaux winemaker, Bruno Prats, to produce a high-quality red wine in the Douro. Prats & Symington’s first wine was called Chryseia, the ancient Greek translation of “Douro”, which also means “golden” in Portuguese. Post Scriptum was their second wine. Prats & Symington wines are made at the historic Quinta de Roriz vineyard in the Douro Valley in Northern Portugal.
