Drew's Tasting Note

Portuguese red wine with fresh, intense berry fruits on the nose and mouth. Soft, rounded and finely textured tannins give the wine a perfectly balanced structure. A rich and satisfying red that is perfect with any red meat- or mushroom-based dish.

The Winery

In 1756, the Douro Valley became the world’s first demarcated wine region, but references to Quinta do Crasto date back to 1615. Over the centuries, the Quinta do Crasto estate has undergone many changes and is recognised as one of the great family estates of the Douro region. The vineyards and winery facilities have been modernised in recent years, thanks to significant investment, which has helped the estate’s continually growing global reputation. The production of high-quality Port, table wines and olive oil is driven by the passion of a truly dedicated team at Quinta do Crasto.
