Drew's Tasting Note

Layers of red cherries, raspberries, rose and liquorice, with a hint of orange zest. The palate is refreshing and full-bodied, with silky tannins that lift the complex flavours and are supported by an elegant minerality. Marvellous length. Worth decanting. Superb cellar potential.

Producer: Reverdito | Vintage: 2017 | From: Piedmont, Italy | Alcohol: 14.0 | Size: 75cl | Style: full-bodied red, still | Grape: Nebbiolo

The Winery

The story of Reverdito Winery begins in the late 1960s, when Silvano Reverdito began acquiring vineyard plots in some of Barolo's finest communes. His son Michele and daughter Sabina formally established the winery in 2000. Today, the La Morra estate spans 26 hectares and is farmed organically, with deep respect for the surrounding land. Michele's approach in the cellar is resolutely traditional; each of the seven Nebbiolo crus is vinified separately in large vats and barrels, allowing each vineyard's distinct character to show in the finished wine.
