The Winery

Casablanca Valley in Chile was unknown territory for viticulture before Agustin Hunneus founded Veramonte in the late 1990s. The Ritual estate was built at the furthest eastern end of Casablanca Valley, with vineyards encircled by many thousands of acres of local forest. The cool climate created by the coastal connection to the Pacific Ocean and Humbolt Current is perfect for site-specific wines, which also benefit from the biodiversity of the surrounding woodland and wildlife. Ritual’s connection to the land also continues through their organic farming practices.
