Drew's Tasting Note

Beautiful, bright, and juicy wine with enticing fresh flavours and aromas of black cherries, cassis, and hints of cedar. A delicious, rich, full-bodied red. Wonderfully well-balanced, silky smooth tannins, and a lovely long finish. Very enjoyable.

Producer: Viña San Pedro | Vintage: 2022 | From: Cachapoal, Chile | Alcohol: 14.5 | Style: full-bodied red, still | Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah (Shiraz), Petit Verdot, Carménère, Cabernet Franc

The Winery

In 1865, the pioneering Correa brothers founded Viña San Pedro in Chile, planting Old World grape varieties in the Curicó Valley.

A focus on fine wines began in 2002 with the opening of a new winery in Cachapoal, at the base of the Andes Mountains. Sideral is a collaborative product between Viña San Pedro and Chateau Dassault, one of Bordeaux’s Grand Cru estates.

In the early 2000s, Drew worked closely with Viña San Pedro, Cliff Roberson and their winemaker, Irene Paiva.
