Drew's Tasting Note

Beautiful, bright, and juicy wine with enticing fresh flavours and aromas of black cherries, cassis, and hints of cedar. A delicious, rich, full-bodied red. Wonderfully well-balanced, silky smooth tannins, and a lovely long finish. Very enjoyable.

The Winery

Viña San Pedro is one of Chile's oldest and most storied wineries, founded in 1865 by the Correa brothers in the Curicó Valley, where they planted some of the country's earliest Old World grape varieties. A new chapter began in 2002 with the opening of a dedicated fine-wine facility in Cachapoal, at the foot of the Andes, signalling a sharper focus on quality and provenance. Among the most compelling results of that ambition is Sideral, a collaborative wine produced in partnership with Château Dassault, one of Bordeaux's celebrated Grand Cru estates. Viña San Pedro is a winery close to Drew's heart, where he worked closely with Cliff Roberson and their winemaker, Irene Paiva, in the early 2000s.
