The Winery

Roman sarcophagi and a Gothic stele found on the estate speak to the long history of this land near Aix-en-Provence. Domaine Tour Campanets takes its name from the round tower built by Marcel Lafforgue between 1963 and 1968. Its structure is designed according to the golden ratio, with concrete vats inside that allow the wine to be made by gravity. In 2012, Emmanuelle Baude left her career as a solicitor to take over the estate, immediately began organic conversion, and achieved certification by 2015. The 32 hectares of vines sit at 324 metres above sea level on soils of crystalline schist, flint, rhyolite and limestone, and include a Syrah plot planted in 1947, possibly the oldest in Provence.
