The Winery

The Trimbach Family has been making great wines in Ribeauvillé, Alsace, since 1626. The Trimbach family has been promoting Alsace and its history, exceptional terroirs and fine wines for almost four centuries. The vineyards benefit from the unique Alsatian microclimate, protected from too much rainfall by the Vosges Mountains. They were planted on a fault line that fractured fifty million years ago between the Vosges Mountain range and the Black Forest. It offers a mosaic of terroirs, including the complex calcareous limestone and biodegraded seashell fossils called Muschelkalk. Organic viticulture has been practised at Maison Trimbach since 2008, now over 58 hectares of vineyards. Conditions such as these contribute to the unique and complex characteristics of their wines.
