Apricot and lime on the nose. This is a classic dry Riesling with tangy lime, pear and aromatic honey character. Elegant, subtle and beautifully understated, with a refreshingly long length on the finish.

The Winery

The Trimbach family have been making wine in Ribeauvillé, Alsace, since 1626, making them one of the oldest wine producers in France. Their vineyards sit in a uniquely sheltered position, protected from rainfall by the Vosges Mountains and planted on a geological fault line that fractured fifty million years ago between the Vosges and the Black Forest. The result is a remarkable mosaic of soils, including the complex calcareous limestone and fossilised seashell deposits known as Muschelkalk. Since 2008, Maison Trimbach has farmed organically across more than 58 hectares, a significant undertaking for an estate of this scale and history.
