Black fruits, dark chocolate and tobacco on the nose. Silky smooth blackberry and plum, dark chocolate, liquorice, and a hint of cinnamon spice. Tremendous length of flavours. Deliciously complex.

The Winery

Alión is the sister estate of the legendary Vega Sicilia, situated just six miles apart in Ribera del Duero. While the two share the same ownership and commitment to quality, they express the region in very different ways. Alión's vineyards occupy some of the finest sites in Ribera del Duero, planted exclusively with Tempranillo, and the wines are handled with great care in both the vineyard and the cellar. Where Vega Sicilia is defined by its classical restraint and extraordinary ageing potential, Alión takes a more modern approach, concentrated and fruit-forward, making it very accessible in its youth.
