Black fruits, dark chocolate and tobacco on the nose. Silky smooth blackberry and plum, dark chocolate, liquorice, and a hint of cinnamon spice. Tremendous length of flavours. Deliciously complex.

The Winery

Alión is Vega Sicilia’s sister estate in Ribera del Duero. The two wineries are only six miles apart, yet Alión’s vineyards are in many of the best locations in the region. Tempranillo is the only grape variety planted and carefully handled in the winery. Unlike the classicism of Vega Sicilia, Alión is a modern wine, concentrated and fruit-forward, making it very accessible in its youth.
