Crisp orchard fruits on the nose. Delicate bubbles, with refreshing apple and pear on the palate and a light hint of toast. An excellent cava with superb balance and length.

The Winery

The Vilarnau family settled in Penedés during the 12th century and began cultivating the vines already growing in Catalonia. Their first family-labelled cava was produced in 1949. A new era of winemaking began in October 2005, when a modern and innovative winery was built on the small estate. Along with restoring the surrounding ecosystem, which provides a natural habitat for the local wildlife, Vilarnu recycles its corks and uses the leftover vine shoots for fuel. Everything at Vilarnau is managed solely at the estate to ensure the wines keep the characteristics of grape varieties and their terroir.
