The Winery

Vigneti Vumbaca was established in 2018 by Christian Vumbaca, who left his career as a lawyer in Rome to return to his native Calabria and tend the family vines. Working across six hectares in the Cirò DOC, one of Italy's oldest and most historically significant wine regions, located between the Ionian coast and the foothills of the Sila plateau, Christian farms entirely organically and ferments naturally, producing wines that are a genuine expression of the ancient local varieties Gaglioppo and Greco Bianco. Already considered one of the region's rising stars, Vigneti Vumbaca is part of the Cirò Revolution, a movement of local producers committed to restoring Cirò's reputation as one of Italy's most characterful and distinctive wine regions.
