Drew's Tasting Note

A truly scrumptious fizz. Morello cherries, cranberries, strawberries, raspberries, and some floral notes reach the nose. A wonderful and vibrant palate that echoes those red berries and fruits and finishes with hints of vanilla and brioche. Very refreshing. Lots of room to mature over time. Quite frankly, it is one of the most extraordinary sparkling rosés I have had the pleasure of drinking.

The Winery

Wiston Estate has been in the hands of the Goring family in West Sussex since 1743, but its wine story began in 2006. Having grown up in South Africa's Western Cape, Pip Goring had long dreamed of planting a vineyard on the estate, and that year her dream became a reality. Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay were planted on sixteen acres of south-facing chalky slopes. The project also brought the next generation back to the estate, with Pip and Harry's son Richard returning from organic farming in Canada, alongside his wife Kirsty, to join the family in the endeavour. All sparkling wines are made using the traditional method from handpicked grapes, and the team has grown steadily since that first planting, a fitting reflection of Pip's vision for a winery built around community as much as craft.
