Drew's Tasting Note

Rich and ripe red and black fruits with balsamic notes on the nose. Luscious, full-bodied, spicy black fruits with hints of tobacco leaf and leather in the mouth. A silky smooth finish.

The Winery

Alfredo Castellani established the Castellani company at the end of the 19th century, and his sons and grandsons have continued the legacy over the past 100 years. Castellani brothers Giorgio and Roberto expanded the estate with new vineyards and winemaking premises. The Campomaggio Estate was purchased by the Castellani brothers in 1990, who built the new winery and restructured the old vineyards, which is a part of the Lucarelli wildlife oasis. The Castellani family business now works with oenologist Sabino Russo and agronomist Federico Compassi in their ambition to keep their practices environmentally sustainable.
